NO MORE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT!!

Well, let's see, it has been a little over a week and Pres Obama has done alot of damage.
This Stimulas bill that he is promoting is really a spending bill! With money (7 billion) going to ACORN (this is the group that cheated at the polls etc) money going to planned parenthood.
etc Sickening. This is going to be a rough 4 years. I was optimistic as that is my nature, but I no longer give him the benefit of the doubt. so I guess I will just not watch for a while. It is too hard to watch. It's like it was with Clinton, I just couldn't watch it anymore. sickening.
Aren't we so excited to have Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid also! I am so looking forward to next 4 years and seeing what kind of damage is done.

THE GREAT U -S OF A!!!

I have been watching the inauguration this morning and am just in awe of our country. I mean there are not many countries that can change hands so well. We are so blessed to live here. We must count our blessings and pray for the man who is now in charge. As I watch this new family getting ready to take over, the one thing I can discern is that they love each other. That's a plus. I don't know how many of you saw Obama's speech, but it was very good. There were parts that I disagree with, but for the most part, I was happy with it. I only hope he meant it. I for one, am going to give him the benefit of the doubt.
God bless this great country

YIKES!!!!

I forgot to record a horrific experience we had the other night.I got up to use the restroom around midnight and went back to bed.at 1am I woke up and thought it was raining outside. I mean really raining.I spoke that outloud and Jim jumps up to check the toilet in our bathroomYou guessed it! we had a flood in our bathroom. It hadn't gotten to the bedroomyet and the wood floor, but we had to work fast to keep it that way!Well, there we were in our undies, mopping, placing towels all over the place andringing them out in the bathtub! it took us well over an hour to finish up.And the culprit??? Those bleach tablets you put in your tank to keep it "sparkling clean!"It had somehow gotten right over the wrong place and plugged it off some way.NOT FUN!!!We have been having a few problems with our septic system again though. We thought we had it conquered, but alas not true!

HO HO HO, MERRY CHRISTMAS

We got our first big snowfall over the last 3 days. I had to have my boss come pick me up as I cousldn't get out of our yard! Too many drifts. Dad is going to plow us out today.
Anyway, "It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!" Love it. However, i have to admit that I do not like driving in the snow. I love to look at it from inside my house, by the fire, reading an interesting book! It can snow all it wants if it's not on the highway!

Had a great weekend. Went up Friday to Gunnison to watch Cooper while Devin and Sarah went to a Family Christmas Party on Saturday. They blessed Cooper on Sunday morning. at their house with a few people. Devin did a great job. We were all crying. Then that same day, Devin's brother Dallin reported his mission so we tended Cooper and then there was a family dinner they went to. We left Sunday around 4pm and missed the snow storms entirely. Great time with the little baby boy. Played some games. had a great time. Happy that Sarah and Robert are close. Wish the rest of you were too.

so I hope you are all experiencing the wonder of this season. How the world turns to the real meaning of our lives. How the Savior gave his life for us and how his birth is so important to us. That's why I love this time of year. I feel happy, generous, concerned for others in a way that doesn't happen all year long. It is a spirit that permeates the earth and I feel it everywhere.
Hope you are all feeling that wonderful spirit also and just thinking of the blessings we all have.
Love you

GRAMPA WITH SOME OF THE GRANDKIDS!

WHAT'S GOING ON IN MY WORLD

November 25, 2008

Well everyone we are doing well. Dad is feeling REALLY good. He had to talk in Sacrament this last Sunday and had been preparing for over 2 weeks. He really did a great job. As I was sitting there listening to him, I was just so proud of him. He has a commanding presence when he speaks. (As you all can testify to!) but he speaks plainly and you can hear him. I was just feeling so blessed that I have been married to this good man for over 38 years. He had so many people come up to him and tell him how well he did and that he should have been the Stake President. Thank goodness he wasn't called to that! I could hardly get through the Bishop calling. Anyway, you all would have been so happy for him. I could see why he was the Bishop in the first place. He is a leader and it shows. Sorry to brag, but couldn't help it. he really did so well. and of course, he doesn't think he did. He is humble and that's what makes him so special.

anyway, we are enjoying this season. i have Christmas music on first thing in the morning and we both love that. Even though he used to get on me for starting early, he just accepts it now and enjoys it along with me. I am ready to put up the tree. This weekend will be the time!
I love Thanksgiving. We have alot to be thankful for don't we. We have so much. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Just know I am thinking of each and every one of you and counting you all as my most important blessing.
Love you all

IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!

Hi ya all,
Well it has been a week or so since I wrote in here. we are doing great! The weather is unreal. The high Sunday was almost 70 degrees! and today it is supposed to be in the 60's.
Unusual for us this time of year and we are throughly enjoying it. We are still watering our lawn which we never thought we would have to do. but thanks goodness we have water to keep it green. it is so nice to have green around us. We love it!

I am busy busy planning, buying and wraping christmas presents. I love it. I have so much fun just figuring out what to get that is meaninful. I am also listening to Christmas music every day now. I love Christmas music, it is so calming. Whenever I get a little stressed I just turn on some Christmas music and I am fine. Beautiful time of year. and I got to thinking the other day with all the demonstrations etc at the Temples and so forth, that December is the one month Satan doesn't really have much say. The whole world (well most of it) turns and thinks of Christ. I bet he hates that and I just love the thought that he doesn't have anything to say about it.

We will be spending Thanksgiving with Devin and Sarah this year along with Robert and Melanie. Her girls are going to be with their other gramma. Or grammie as Teniah calls her.

As for Christmas, it will be a challenge, but oh so fun. Jason and Jan'l will be coming early around the 22nd of December and staying until the 29th. Devin and Sarah will arrive on the 26th and stay until New Years or there after. TiNille and Jason will be here on the 29th or 30th to spend New Years with us and Toni and Tyler will get here sometime before Christmas and stay for a couple of weeks. Along with Robert and Melanie and girls, we will have quite the time, we have to work it so none of the kids are in our house because Cooper cannot be by any of them yet. That will be a challenge, but there is a mobile home that Richard put in down the road from us that Jason and Jan'l and TiNille and Jason will be staying in. It's funny because when Jan'l told her kids that they can't be by Cooper, Logan said "why? What's wrong with us?" so cute.
so there you have my plans and I am busy planning I'll tell ya. I have lists coming out my head!
But that is what makes my life fun. anyway, better get to work. Hope you all have a great day. Sorry no pictures, but Dad has cancelled his internet for the Winter. (it costs us 80 dollars a month because we have Satellite) so I can't send his pictures to my computer from home.

Love
Mom
